London's Chelsea will put in all efforts to win the UEFA Europa League tournament, said coach Rafael Benitez.
At the end of November, the Spaniard, who started working in the team, failed to create a miracle in the Champions League: even though in the last round the English team beat Nordsjaelland 6-1, Juventus and Shakhtar Donetsk took the first two places in Group E.
"I think the Europa League is an important tournament," said Benitez. "We want to go as far as possible in it. We will try to win trophies. The Europa League is not important when you do not participate and cannot win. But when you reach the semifinals or finals, everyone dreams of trophies."
Benitez praised striker Fernando Torres for scoring two goals, who has been criticized for poor athletic form: "He was eager and proved his level. If Fernando continues to maintain such an attitude, he will score more goals. In training, he radiates self-confidence and looks sharp. Overall, the whole team played well, so they scored many goals."
