Former Chelsea FC strategist Avram Grant has rejected the possibility of returning to the team and working alongside recently appointed manager Rafael Benitez.
The coach, who guided the London team to the UEFA Champions League final in 2008, was linked with a possible comeback as the current manager's start at the club did not impress the management.
Avram Grant himself denied rumors of his return stating, "No one from Chelsea FC has made me an offer. I've heard these talks, but it's not important."
"What's important is that the team currently has a manager who needs support, not looking at others. I don't think I could coach the team at the moment. I am convinced that Benitez is a very experienced coach and that after just a few weeks he will not leave Chelsea, and if that were to happen, it would be unfair," Grant told BBC Radio.
Originally from Israel, the strategist began his coaching career in his home country before moving to England in 2007, when he took over the reins at Chelsea. Later, he coached Portsmouth, West Ham, and Belgrade's Partizan clubs.
