Today, after the meeting, the UEFA Executive Committee announced that the EURO 2020 championship will take place all over the continent of Europe.
This information was confirmed by the UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino: "Today, a very important decision was made - the EURO 2020 championship will take place all over Europe."
Originally, Turkey wanted to host this tournament alone, but eventually it was decided to host it all over the continent. The decision left Turkey's representative Senes Erzik dissatisfied.
It is not yet clear which cities will have the honor to host the matches of the European Championship. In 2014, UEFA plans to hold a competition where countries can submit their cities' candidacies.
