On Tuesday evening, two matches of the "Capital One" Cup quarterfinals were played in England.
London's "Arsenal" club sensationally lost away to "Bradford City," playing in the fourth division of the country.
In the 16th minute, to the delight of the spectators gathered at the stadium, the hosts took the lead after a corner kick, and this advantage lasted for most of the match, but in the 88th minute, the "Gunners" captain Thomas Vermaelen equalized the score and the teams were forced to play extra time.
During the additional half-hour, the winner was still not determined, so the teams lined up for a penalty shootout. Success smiled upon the fourth division club, whose fans will long remember this historic victory against the team led by Arsene Wenger.
In other matches, "Aston Villa" managed to defeat "Norwich City" away with a score of 4-1. The "Canaries" took the lead in the 19th minute, but soon the score was level after a shot by Brett Holman.
The visitors took the initiative towards the end of the match and two goals from Andreas Weimann and one goal from Christian Benteke led "Aston Villa" to the semifinals of the English League Cup.
