On a late Wednesday evening, the last two Copa del Rey football matches in Spain were played.
The Spanish champions suffered an unexpected defeat. In an away game, Jose Mourinho's team narrowly lost 2-1 to Celta Vigo.
The first goal for Real Madrid came in the second half, when in the 56th minute Mario Bermejo scored against Antonio Adan, but Celta Vigo's players were not satisfied with that and in the 78th minute Bustos doubled the score with a long-range shot.
At the end of the match, Cristiano Ronaldo reduced the score, but neither team managed to score again and after the referee's final whistle, the victory was declared for the hosts.
In the other match, two Madrid teams, Atletico and Getafe, faced each other. In this match, Diego Simeone's team secured an easy victory. Filipe Luis and Diego Costa scored for the Europa League winners.
