"Atletico" coach: "Barcelona" dominance makes Spanish championship boring © EuroFootball.com

Madrid "Atletico" strategist Diego Simeone called the Spanish championship "boring" after losing to Barcelona 1-4.

The Argentine's players arrived at "Camp Nou" in second place in the tournament table, but they couldn't resist the titled opponents more seriously.

"Barcelona" is a fantastic and very strong team, with which, I think, we fought well today," said Simeone. "But I leave here thinking that they play one step higher than everyone else. This club is stronger than the others, so the league is becoming boring."

He also praised his players: "In the first half, we played almost perfectly, created three chances to score. The first time the ball hit the post, the second time the goalkeeper saved the shot, and the third chance ended with Falcao scoring. At that time, it was difficult for the opponents to break through our defense, except for the amazing equalizing goal from Adriano."

Simeone didn't spare kind words for Lionel Messi, who scored two beautiful goals. He has already scored 90 goals this year.

"Leo is the best footballer in the world. Of course, the whole team played well, but he ultimately decided the outcome of the match with two goals. I am very happy that he is Argentine," the specialist confirmed.
