On Wednesday, in the last national team ranking of this year announced by FIFA, it was revealed that the Lithuanian national football team has risen to the 116th place.

These election results were last announced a month ago. During this period, Lithuania has moved up three positions with 284 points.

At the top of the ranking, the national teams' positions remain the same. Spain continues to rank first, followed by Germany in second and Argentina in third.

It is worth mentioning that three Lithuanian opponents in the World Cup 2014 qualification matches are among the top 50 strongest teams, namely Greece (11th), Bosnia and Herzegovina (27th), and Slovakia (47th), while Latvia is in 106th place and Liechtenstein's footballers are in 154th place.
