Madrid's "Real" star Cristiano Ronaldo promised that he would not celebrate victory in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match against his former club "Manchester United".
The captain of the Portuguese national team arrived in Madrid in 2009, precisely from the "Red Devils" team. As Ronaldo himself said, he still feels warm feelings for this club.
"If we were to win against 'Manchester United', I would not celebrate this victory," AS quoted the 27-year-old Portuguese.
The attacking forward, who is a contender for the best footballer of the year title, expressed his gratitude to former coach Sir Alex Ferguson, emphasizing that he was a very important person in his football career.
"Ferguson is a fantastic coach. My relationship with him is excellent. He taught me many important things in football, for which I am extremely grateful to him," Ronaldo concluded.
It is worth reminding that the royal club will play the first match against "United" in the Champions League on February 13th at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, and the second on March 5th at the "Old Trafford" fortress.
