"Manchester United" defender Jonny Evans has signed a new contract with the club and will remain with the "Red Devils" at least until the summer of 2016.
"Jonny grew up in our academy and is now an important member of the first team," said coach Sir Alex Ferguson. "He has become a very good player and scored some important goals for us this season. I'm delighted with his new contract."
Meanwhile, Evans himself said: "I am proud to represent this great club and there is no better feeling than playing for this team and achieving victories. I have always felt that this club is meant for me.
Even when I was nine or ten years old and still lived in Northern Ireland, teams invited me for trials, but I wasn't interested because I wanted to play for Manchester United.
With the help of my teammates and coaches, I have improved as a player and I am a product of the club. I would like to play here until the end of my career."
