The official London "Tottenham" page has confirmed that the club has signed a new contract with veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel until 2014.
At the beginning of this season, 41-year-old B. Friedel was the main goalkeeper in the team led by Andre Villas-Boas, but recently more and more playing time has been given to Hugo Lloris, who joined the team this summer.
"We are delighted to announce the happy news to you - Brad Friedel will represent the "Tottenham" team until 2014," the London club wrote in a statement.
The American joined the "Spurs" in 2011. During this time, B. Friedel has appeared on the field 48 times.
