Before the season, Silvio Berlusconi's team, who tightened their belts and sold their leaders, set their sights on Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho.
The 34-year-old Portuguese, who lacks opportunities to shine, will likely be happily transferred to the Italian club, as he earns 4.5 million euros per season.
Currently, Milan is in 7th place in the Serie A championship, trailing the leaders Juventus by a whopping 17 points.
