"Liverpool" has offered nearly 12 million euros for Inter Milan's star Wesley Sneijder, as reported by the Italian press.
According to "Gazzetta dello Sport", the English team wants to take advantage of the opportunity, as Sneijder has not been included in Inter's lineup recently. The club has taken such measures because of stalled negotiations for a new contract, as Sneijder is not willing to significantly reduce his current annual salary of 6 million euros.
However, "Liverpool" is also not prepared to pay that amount. Furthermore, it is questionable whether 12 million euros will satisfy the Milan team, which would like to receive at least 15 million euros for the Dutch player.
"Liverpool" is currently offering Sneijder 9-10 million euros for a three-year contract.
"Of course, it would be best for everyone if I leave during the winter transfer window," Sneijder said. "But I don't know if an agreement will be reached. If not, I will stay in the team, as I have a contract that is valid until 2015."
Sneijder is also actively being pursued by "Man Utd" and London's "Tottenham."
