The head coach of the Uruguayan national team is convinced that the current Barcelona is the best football team of all time.
The 65-year-old strategist is most impressed by the collective actions of the Catalan team's players on the field.
"The current Barcelona surprises many. This team plays stunning football, and its promoted style of play is without a doubt the best I have ever seen," noted Oscar Washington Tabarez, adding that many teams try to copy the Catalans' playing schemes, but no one can do it perfectly.
"I think copying Barca's style is hopeless. Each team has to find what suits it best. Each coach has their own style, each federation has its own strategy. Barcelona's style didn't appear suddenly; it wasn't built in just one or two years. It was implemented by patient people who are experts in their work," said the Uruguayan national team coach.
"It's not easy to walk past a store window with your long-desired suit hanging there and not buy it. In football, everything is a little different," O.W. Tabarez vividly described teams trying to imitate Barcelona's style.
