London's "West Ham" acquired "Liverpool" defender Joe Cole without a transfer fee and signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with him.
The 31-year-old footballer played for Liverpool since 2010, but failed to establish himself in the starting lineup and returns to the team where he wore the jersey at the beginning of his career.
"I have always loved 'West Ham' and hope that the next few seasons will be memorable for all of us," said Cole. "This transfer is very important to me. I am happy to have the opportunity to return to where I learned so much."
Along with this deal, it was announced that Yossi Benayoun, who had returned to "Chelsea" from "West Ham" on a loan deal, is returning. However, the future of the defender remains unclear: he is being looked at by "Wigan", "Fulham", and several other clubs.
