The Frenchman caught the attention of the "Magpies" during the European Championship while representing the national team, which had to acknowledge the superiority of the Spaniards in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
This purchase cost coach Alan Pardew about 5 million euros, and M. Debuchy will join his former teammate in Lille, Yohan Cabaye.
