"Fiorentina" strengthens with "Villarreal" forward G.Rossi © EuroFootball.com

On Friday evening, the "Fiorentina" club announced that they officially acquired the forward Giuseppe Rossi from the Spanish second division club "Villarreal".

G.Rossi has played for "Manchester United", "Parma", and "Newcastle" during his career, but has spent most of his time at "Villarreal".

However, after dropping out of the "Primera" championship, the Villarreal team was forced to sell players. Defender Borja Valero, who is now playing for "Fiorentina", was also part of the same club.

Due to injury, the Italian almost missed the entire last season, and this season he will not be able to play at least until March due to the same cruciate ligament rupture. Because of health problems, the player could not help his national team, which reached the final of the European Championship.

According to unofficial data, the "Viola" was willing to pay 12.5 million euros for this forward, but the final amount has not been disclosed.

G.Rossi played for "Villarreal" from 2007 and during that time he played 192 matches and scored 82 goals.
