London's Tottenham club should be supplemented by Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby as a free agent in July, but the German team is offering to buy the player already now.
Last week it was officially announced that L.Holtby would become a member of the Spurs, but the German club is ready to negotiate about the transfer fee, which would amount to about 2 million euros, and release the player to a Premier League team already now.
"If Tottenham ask to sell L.Holtby now, we are ready to negotiate. Nothing has happened yet, but if they want the player this winter, we will talk. It must be done quickly, as we need to find a replacement for him," said Schalke's executive director Horst Heldt.
