Mourinho: whistling at me, but not Adam © EuroFootball.com

The strategist of Madrid's "Real" Jose Mourinho claims not to be worried that he is not the favorite of the team fans.

Inconsistent results of the Spanish champions and the controversial decision to bench "Real" veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas in two consecutive matches have prompted fans to whistle when Mourinho's name was mentioned over the weekend.

"I don't like always being the hero, enjoying a comfortable situation," said Mourinho, whose team is already trailing 16 points behind "Barcelona" in the national championship. "If Iker is whistled at because he is not playing or because of poor results, then everything is fine.

"It's a shame, but the fans and the media, who have no opinion about Casillas being replaced by Antonio Adan, make him suffer because of my decision," Mourinho added. "This shows a lack of respect for Adan. He has represented the team for 16 years, started his career here, so he has the right to be happy."

In the weekend match against "Real Sociedad," Adan played just 6 minutes as he was removed from the field at the beginning of the game for a crucial mistake.
