Lithuanian national team striker Darvydas Šernas will spend the second part of the season in Turkey - the football player has been loaned to the "Gaziantepspor" club.

For the past two seasons, the Lithuanian has worn the jersey of the Polish Lubin team "Zaglebie", but during this time he did not shine. In total, in 39 matches he scored only five goals, and this season in 10 games he did not stand out and gave way in the main lineup to the Czech Michal Papadopulos.

The executives of "Zaglebie" did not hide their disappointment in Šernas' performance, as the player's salary, according to media reports, amounts to about 80 thousand litas per month. In addition, he came to Lubin for approximately 1 million euros from Lodz's "Widzew", where he was one of the leaders.

In Turkey, Šernas should not feel lonely - the main goalkeeper of the Lithuanian national team, Žydrūnas Karčemarskas, has been representing the "Gaziantepspor" team for several years, who is currently recovering from an injury and has not played since November.
