Brendan Rodgers believes that there should be more local football players from this city in the "Liverpool" team.
Currently, the only two main players who have played for Liverpool's academy since their youth are Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
"I really like it when the club is represented by players who have been dedicated to it since their youth. I want to see as many promising local players in the Liverpool team as possible," Rodgers told journalists.
"I can't say that Liverpool doesn't have young talents, but I am also one of those who like to look for players in Spain, or other European countries," added the former Swansea manager.
