In the English Premier League, the twenty-second round of matches started on Saturday afternoon.

London's Chelsea thrashed Stoke City 4-0 away. Jonathan Walters, who scored two goals for the opponents, made the task easier for the "Blues" and put the visitors ahead.

In the second half, J. Walters doubled the lead, while Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard added one goal each, with Lampard scoring from the penalty spot and Hazard with a beautiful long-range strike. At the end of the match, a penalty was awarded to Chelsea, which J. Walters failed to convert.

Sunderland also secured a solid victory, beating West Ham 3-0. The goals for the winners were scored by Sebastian Larsson, Adam Johnson, and James McClean.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa continues to struggle to collect points. Paul Lambert's team lost 1-0 to Southampton, with Ricky Lambert scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot.

A goalless draw was recorded in the match between Everton and Swansea City at Goodison Park.

The match between Reading and West Brom was full of drama. The visitors led 2-0 until the 82nd minute, but the hosts launched a late attack and celebrated a 3-2 victory in the final 10 minutes.

In the earlier match between QPR and Tottenham, there were no goals scored.
