Former Glasgow Celtic and Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan is the new head coach of the Scotland national team.
After more than two years without a job, the 55-year-old football specialist will replace the underperforming Craig Levein in the position.
Strachan's contract with the Scottish FA will be valid until the end of the 2016 European Championship.
The Scotland national team has almost lost hope of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup, as they have only managed to gather 2 points in four games.
