The "Barcelona" club, looking for a new main goalkeeper, has set its sights on Pepe Reina representing "Liverpool," says the English press.
A few days ago, the agent of the current Spanish champions' goalkeeper Victor Valdes unexpectedly stated that his client does not intend to renew the contract with "Barcelona" team, which expires in the summer of 2014. That is why the Catalans would like to acquire a new goalkeeper for the next summer.
Reina is seen as the ideal candidate, as he started his career in the youth team of "Barcelona" and matured alongside Valdes. Later he played for "Villarreal," and then moved to Liverpool.
It is believed that "Liverpool" would consider selling the Spaniard, as his sports form has not been as excellent in the last few seasons as the fans were used to earlier.
