On Wednesday evening, two quarter-final matches of the King's Cup of Spain were played.

In Valencia, the second leg quarter-final match took place, where "Valencia" and Madrid's "Real" met. The result at the "Mestalla" stadium was locked at 1-1, which meant a triumph for the royal club.

At the end of the first half, José Mourinho's pupils took the lead, when striker Karim Benzema scored after a great pass from Xabi Alonso.

In the 51st minute, Fabio Coentrao received a second yellow card and had to leave the field, with a penalty kick awarded immediately after the incident, which was converted by Tino Costa.

In the other match, the players of "Sevilla" secured a crushing victory and a ticket to the cup semi-finals, playing in front of their audience against "Real Zaragoza".
