The Šiauliai team also had a good opportunity to score in this match at the end of the first half, but one of the Šiauliai players failed to convert a dangerous cross pass and the ball passed next to the far post.
The teams shared a point, and that didn't help them much in the tournament table - with seven points, Žalgiris remains in eighth place, while Šiauliai, with five points, is in second-to-last position.
The next round of the "A league" will take place on Saturday: in the most interesting duel of the leaders, "Ekranas" will host "Kaunas" at home, in the Vilnius derby "Žalgiris" will play against "Vilnius", the third-placed "Vėtra" will face "Sūduva", "Šiauliai" will be the opponent of "Atlantas", and the team without a single point, "Nevėžis", will play against the "Šilutės" team.
