On Thursday, the last two King's Cup quarterfinal matches were played.

Hosts "Malaga" and "Barcelona" met at the "La Rosaleda" stadium. Victory and a ticket to the cup semi-finals with a score of 2-4 were achieved by Jordi Roura's team in this match.

The first to break through were the Spanish vice champions, when Pedro scored after a precise pass from Dani Alves.

However, the score was soon leveled by "Malaga". In the 12th minute, Joaquin sent the ball into Manuel Pinto's goal.

In the second half, the battle began anew. In the 49th minute, the Catalans were once again brought to the front by defender Gerard Pique, but approximately twenty minutes later Santa Cruz equalized.

After the equalizing goal, "Malaga" took control of the game, but Barcelona's team eventually started to press and with the end of the half approaching, goals from Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi helped secure a semi-final ticket.

In the semi-finals of the "Copa del Rey" tournament, "Barcelona" will face their fiercest rivals, Madrid's "Real". The first match will take place next Wednesday, with the final one played on February 27.

In another match, a draw (1-1) was recorded between Seville's "Real Betis" and Madrid's "Atletico" footballers. The team of Europa League winners advanced to the semi-finals, where they will face "Sevilla" players.
