The leaders of Madrid's "Real" quickly found a replacement for Iker Casillas, who, according to the latest reports, will only be able to return to the field after three months.

The new goalkeeper for the "merengues" is now Diego Lopez, who already defended the honor of the capital team from 2005 to 2007 and previously wore the shirts of the second and third "Real" teams.

The 31-year-old footballer moved from "Villarreal" to "Sevilla" this summer, but failed to establish himself in the Andalusian club.

Although the official transfer fee is not announced, it is believed that Florentino Perez did not hesitate to pay €4 million for the upbringing of "Lugo." The contract signed with the goalkeeper is valid until June 30, 2017.

Interestingly, Fabio Capello, who once coached at "Real," wanted to bench Casillas and make Lopez the team's first goalkeeper, but the club's management opposed this.
