On Saturday afternoon, the fifth round matches of the English Football Association (FA) Cup were played.
Manchester City defeated Stoke City away after a fierce battle, with defender Pablo Zabaleta scoring the winning goal and becoming the hero of the match.
Another English giant, Arsenal, struggled away against Brighton. The Gunners took the lead twice through Olivier Giroud's goals, but the hosts kept equalizing. However, Theo Walcott, who came on as a substitute, secured the victory with a precise shot from outside the penalty area.
On Friday evening, Aston Villa extended their streak of failures. This time they fell to the second division team Milwall and were eliminated from the FA Cup tournament.
Third division MK Dons unexpectedly knocked Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers out of the cup. Until the 83rd minute, the score was 0-4, but Jay Bothroyd and Fabio managed to slightly reduce the gap at the end of the match.
Everton defeated Bolton at the end of the match. John Heitinga scored the winning goal for the Toffees away in extra time.
The modest Luton club made history by beating Norwich. This is the first time a conference league team has eliminated a first division club in the FA Cup.
In the evening matches, Manchester United and Fulham face each other at Old Trafford, and the draws will be held on Sunday evening.
