Valdas Ivanauskas is moving to Georgia - the coach will train the "Dila" club for at least half a year.
"From what I saw in a friendly match, the team looks really good, although there is always room for improvement," the strategist said. "I am happy that the level of the championship is high - I am taking on work with pleasure."
After finishing his football career, Ivanauskas worked as an assistant coach for the Lithuanian national team, later he led "FBK Kaunas" and Edinburgh "Hearts", with which he won the Scottish Cup.
Ivanauskas' further career turned towards "Carl Zeiss Jena" from Germany, later the Lithuanian youth and junior (up to 18 and 21 years old) national teams, as well as Azerbaijan's "Standard Sumgayit".
In the Georgian championship after 22 rounds, "Dila" occupies second place with 49 points. They are three points behind the leader Tbilisi "Dinamo".
