Wednesday evening saw the only semi-final match of the King's Cup of Spain being played.

Local Madrid "Real" and "Barcelona" met at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium. The first match between these Spanish giants ended peacefully 1-1.

The first half was fairly balanced. Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score, with Barcelona having slightly better ball control. However, no goals were seen in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Barcelona's players were more successful, and after a precise pass from Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas scored in the 50th minute.

After the goal, the royal club started to create dangerous attacks, but Barcelona's players defended properly. However, in the 81st minute, Raphael Varane headed the ball into Manuel Pinto's goal, equalizing the score.

During the remaining time, both teams had a few chances to secure the final result in this match, but both M. Pinto and Diego Lopez managed to preserve the score.
