On Friday evening, the first matches of the 23rd round of the Italian "Serie A" championship were played.
Led by Zdenek Zeman, the footballers of "Roma" suffered a painful defeat at home against "Cagliari", who are currently in 13th place in the tournament table.
"Roma" conceded a goal already in the 3rd minute, scored by Radja Nainggolan. However, in the 35th minute Francesco Totti equalized the score and the teams went into halftime level.
But in the first minute of the second half, the home team's goalkeeper Mauro Goicoechea made a terrible mistake, scoring an own goal.
Shortly after, forward Marco Sau scored another goal for the "Cagliari" team, while Francesco Pisano made the score overwhelming.
"Roma" managed to avoid complete humiliation, as in the 93rd minute, Marquinho somewhat softened the result.
Currently, "Roma" is in 8th place in the tournament table, and their opponents, who earned three points, moved up three positions.
