"Barcelona" defender Dani Alves has stated that the main rivals in the fight for the "Primera" title are the players of Madrid's "Atletico" team.
The team led by Tito Vilanova is currently confidently leading the table, with the closest pursuers, Madrid's "Atletico," trailing by 9 points. "Real" is third, with a gap of even 16 points from the leaders.
“People talk a lot about “Real,” when our main rivals are “Atletico”. We shouldn’t look at the team in third place when there is a club in second place. They are closer to us than “Real,” so if we don’t pay attention to them, they can surprise us,” the Brazilian is convinced.
Alves also praised the team's performance against the players of "Valencia": "Considering the circumstances of the match, we are satisfied with the point we brought home. When you are not in the best form, you have to play smart - if you can't win, you have to take at least a point."
"Barcelona" will play their next match at home against the mid-table team "Getafe" on February 10th.
