Two players from the Rome club - Paolo Negro and Dino Baggio - did not receive salaries for some time because they refused to have their wages reduced. The total annual salary amount that the players have not received is about one million euros.

The club, which is in a financial crisis, offered the players to reduce their salaries, but after rejecting the proposal, they stopped considering them as employees. Footballers no longer received their usual salaries, even though they trained every day as stipulated in their contracts, and this season they did not play a single minute.

Both players immediately filed a complaint to the Italian League Players' Union, but it was not considered. As this season comes to an end, the Italian Players Association has decided to take strong action.

"Such behavior is unacceptable, a player becomes unnecessary if he refuses to have his salary reduced," said a representative of the Italian Players Association. "This statement may force us to take strong action not only for these two players, but also for all others playing in Serie A."

"Of course, we will make all decisions very carefully and thoroughly analyze the situation to minimize losses for other teams."

Both sides have started negotiations regarding this statement. It is believed that the Italian Players Association will agree to pay approximately half of P. Negro and D. Baggio's salaries. It is also possible that the Italian Players Association will declare a strike and stop all Serie A matches if they do not achieve their goal.
