Madrid's "Real" club star Cristiano Ronaldo is convinced that the Spanish team is currently stronger than their future opponent in the Champions League round of 16.
C.Ronaldo moved to Madrid's "Real" in 2009 from "Manchester United" for an impressive sum of 80 million pounds.
The Portuguese is convinced that his teammates are capable of overcoming his former team: "I think everything will go well. In my opinion, "Real" is a stronger team than "Manchester United", but we have to prove it on the field, because our opponents are a very united team and have always been so.".
"This is a club that always plays well. Every year they are at the top, so we respect them a lot. This match will be very tough, especially the match in Manchester," said one of the best football players in the world.
The Portuguese also admitted that it will be strange for him to compete against a club he knows well: "I already said before the draw that we would meet "Manchester United". I have wanted to play against them for a while now. I have many good memories from Manchester."
"This match will be special for me. I spent six years at "Manchester United". I have friends there whom I want to see. This match means a lot to me," shared his thoughts C.Ronaldo.
The first match between Madrid's "Real" and "Manchester United" will take place on February 13 at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium.
