The Munich "Bayern" club confirmed that they have signed a new contract with defender Holger Badstuber until the summer of 2017.
The 23-year-old footballer's previous contract was set to expire in 2014. However, the Bavarian club did not intend to wait and made a final decision.
H. Badstuber is currently recovering from a knee injury. It is speculated that the versatile defender may not appear on the field this season.
The Germany national team member has been playing for the main "Bayern" team since 2009. During this period, he has played 101 matches and scored one goal.
