Madrid's "Real" club and Portugal national team's attacking leader Cristiano Ronaldo believes that cases of drug and other prohibited substances rarely occur in football.
Recently, former president of San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" Inakis Badiola stated that the team acquired illegal substances between 2001-2007.
"It's a very delicate situation. However, I still tend to think that football players don't use doping and other banned substances," said C. Ronaldo.
"It's a team sport. I don't think that such measures are necessary to achieve better results," the Portuguese continued to speak to journalists.
When asked if football is a clean sport, the captain of the Portugal national team replied: "Yes, I am one hundred percent convinced of that."
