On Wednesday, former "Manchester United" striker Louis Saha joined the Rome club "Lazio".

The Frenchman signed a one-season contract with the English club "Sunderland" in the summer, however, the contract was terminated in January by mutual agreement and L. Saha became a free agent.

With "Lazio" team, the striker also signed a short-term contract and should represent the Rome club until the end of this season.

The 34-year-old footballer stated that he is excited about the new challenge, as he played in England for 13 years: "I am happy to be here. Lazio is a big club, and Italy is a great country".

"I want to show what I do best. I am here because I want to help the team, which has long been without its main striker Miroslav Klose. I hope to do that. I think it will be a pleasure to work with this great team," said L. Saha.
