After friendly football matches between the national teams of Sweden and Argentina, a fan who ran onto the field and kissed the Argentine leader is well known to the police as a convicted criminal, reports the website of the Swedish newspaper "Aftonbladet."
"It was a dream come true for me. I am a fan of Barcelona and L. Messi - he is my idol," said the 35-year-old fan who rushed onto the field after the match.
However, according to Swedish police, this intruder is a known criminal. Just last October, he was fined, prohibiting him from attending any international FIFA and UEFA tournaments, tournaments organized by the Swedish Football Association, and matches in the English "Premier" League.
Just a few weeks ago, before the incident at the match between Sweden and Argentina, the troublemaker had been involved in a fight at a bar in a town in Sweden called Norrkoping.
Police report that the troublemaker has been convicted 19 times, with accusations ranging from theft, vandalism, threats to resisting arrest. However, most of the time, even up to ten times, the fan has been convicted for various sexual offenses - he has even been in prison five times.
In 2006, this troublemaker ran onto the field during a friendly football match between Brazil and Ecuador and hugged the then "Barcelona" leader Ronaldinho.
"Yes, I was fined back then, but I don't remember the amount anymore. It was worth it back then, and even more so now," said the criminal.
According to Anders Sigurdsson, a representative of the security service of the Swedish Football Association, the troublemaker will face another fine - he will be banned from attending Sweden's national team matches.
