On Saturday, five matches of the XXIII round of the "Primera" championship were played in Spain.

At the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Sevilla faced each other. Jose Mourinho's proteges secured a crushing victory with a score of 4-1.

Karim Benzema led the royal club forward first. Cristiano Ronaldo soon doubled the score, adding two more precise goals to his tally by the 60th minute.

The Sevilla team softened the score in the 87th minute with a goal from the young Manu who came on as a substitute. There were 9 yellow cards shown in the match, two of which turned into red cards.

In other matches, Mallorca drew with Osasuna, Celta de Vigo lost at home to Valencia by a minimal difference, Levante suffered a defeat against Malaga, and Deportivo La Coruna lost to Granada.
