Born in Rijeka, the striker began his professional career in the HNK team of this city.
For seven years (2004-2011), V. Gerc, played 30 matches and scored 6 goals.
In the 2004/05 season, the Croat spent the season on loan at Slovenia's "ND FC Ljubljana" club, where he scored a goal in eight matches.
In 2011, the footballer moved to another Croatian top league team "NK Zadar", and a year later to "NK Karlovac".
Last season, V. Gerc finished in Malaysia at "Kedah FA" club. The 184 cm tall player scored 9 goals in 15 matches.
On Sunday evening, the Croatian joined the Žalgiris team continuing preparations for the new season, and on Monday participated in the team's training sessions. In the friendly match on Tuesday with "HNK Gorica" team, V. Gerc will already be wearing the green and white jersey.
