The leader of the Spanish championship "Barcelona" refused to postpone the "Primera" league match with Madrid's "Real" from the second of March to the first of March.

The "Real" coach wanted to move the March 2nd match, where the eternal rivals will meet for the second time in the "La Liga" championship, to Friday (March 1st). This was aimed at giving the players three days off before the return match in the UEFA Champions League with the "Manchester United" club, which will take place on March 5th.

However, "Barcelona" refused to do so. "Los Blancos" can only rejoice in a small victory because the match will take place at 4pm Spanish time, although it was planned to be held at 10pm.

It is worth mentioning that just a few days before the March 2nd showdown in the "La Liga" championship, "Barcelona" and "Real" clubs will clash on February 26th in the second leg of the Spanish Cup ("Copa del Rey") semi-finals. The first leg at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, the first "El Clasico" match in the "Primera" league on October 7th at the "Camp Nou" stadium also ended in a 2-2 draw.

This means that in 9 days from February 26th to March 5th, the "Real" club will have to play three very tough matches - two against "Barca" and one against "Manchester United". Two of them will determine whether "Los Blancos" will have a chance to celebrate the "Copa del Rey" or the Champions League winners' laurels.
