On Friday evening, the 25th round of the French "Ligue 1" championship started.
Last year's champions, the players of "Lille", defeated the "Rennes" team in front of their own fans with a score of 2 – 0.
The guests had an unsuccessful start to the match, as in the middle of the first half, "Rennes" defender Chris Mavinga scored an own goal.
In the second half, the lead was doubled by forward Dimitri Payet. This victory allowed the "Lille" team to climb to 7th place in the league table. "Rennes" remains in 5th position.
