Bayern Munich has no intention of acquiring Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski, according to Bayern's club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
It has been reported in the media that the leaders of the German championship intend to take advantage of the Pole's contract expiring next year and lure him to Munich.
“Bayern” definitely doesn't intend to negotiate with “Borussia” for Lewandowski. I don't take such talks into account,” Rummenigge said.
However, Borussia's sports director Michael Zorc added that he was not sure if Lewandowski would agree to extend his contract with the team: “I don't think he will renew his contract. In any case, we are prepared for it.”
This season in the German championship, he has scored fourteen goals in 20 matches.”
