On Wednesday, Bojan Krkic will face his former team for the first time since leaving "Barca".
In the summer of 2011, the young striker's career took a turn towards the "Roma" team, which was then coached by Luis Enrique. Just a year later B. Krkic was loaned to "Milan", and this season's Champions League draw coincidentally brought Lombardy and Catalonia clubs together in one quarter-final pair.
Now wearing the jersey of "Milan", the striker does not hide that the future match against "Barcelona" personally brings him a lot of emotions.
"These will be special matches, but in case I play, I certainly do not intend to think about either moods or what still connects me to my former team. The most important thing is to concentrate and play properly for the whole 90 minutes that await us on Wednesday. I have never played against "Barca" before, but my main goal tomorrow will be to help the current team win," - the footballer told in an interview for the official "Milan" website.
With 41 goals scored in 163 appearances in the ranks of Barcelona, B. Krkic is convinced that the Wednesday show at San Siro stadium can already be called more than just a match.
"This is not a match for three points. This is not just any game. Everything will last at least 180 minutes, half of which we will play on Wednesday. The team demonstrates a good sporting form in the national championships. Add the fact that no one needs extra motivation for matches against "Barcelona", and maybe we can think about victory," - the Catalan pondered.
