The captain of the Spanish national team and Real Madrid, Iker Casillas, delighted the club's fans by stating that he can return to the field next month.
The experienced goalkeeper suffered an injury in January, when he broke his fingers during the Copa del Rey tournament against Valencia. After the surgery, it was announced that I. Casillas might have to miss the entire season.
"I have to recover within a month. The doctor assured me that in the next four weeks my fingers will be completely healed," the Spaniard told journalists.
However, the 31-year-old footballer will need time to break into the starting lineup, as Diego Lopez has joined the team, who along with Antonio Adan will provide competition for Casillas.
