Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos claims to support the fiercest rival team, Barcelona, when they play against foreign clubs.
In the TV show "El Hormiguero," the footballer said: "When Spaniards play against foreigners, I always support my own, whether it's Barcelona or another team."
Ramos also recalled his unsuccessful penalty shot in last season's Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, which became an internet meme. Despite this, the Spaniard did not break and sent the ball into the net with a weak shot in the semi-final of the European Championship against Portugal.
"I like to take responsibility in crucial moments. Of course, I was extremely disappointed when it didn't work out against the Bayern club, and my sister and mother also suffered," said Ramos.
"But even the best footballers miss penalties. On the same day I didn't score against Bayern, I told my mom that next time I'll shoot weakly and into the middle of the goal. It wasn't difficult to do that because no one expected it."
