Dortmund defender from Brazil Dede admitted that he was seriously interested in London club champion.

Last week, London club coach Jose Mourinho revealed that his team is looking for a strong left-back defender. Among the contenders for this position are mentioned Kakha Kaladze from Milan, Ashley Cole from Arsenal, Gianluca Zambrotta playing for Juventus, and Spaniard Asier Del Horno.

Dede revealed that Chelsea representatives met with him twice - a month and a half ago and a couple of weeks ago. However, Dede himself believes that his transfer to the London club may be hindered by strict English rules for foreign work permits, which require the player to have represented their national team in at least 3/4 of matches or have a passport of a European Union country.

So far, the Brazilian does not meet any of these conditions, but according to him, Chelsea promised to do everything possible for him to join the English champion's team.

"I have already met with Chelsea representatives twice. There are currently many obstacles for me to go to England, but they promised to do everything so I could represent their club next season," said Dede. - "They promised to inform me when things move forward, but so far I haven't heard anything from them."

Dede's contract with Borussia is valid until 2007, but considering the club's very poor financial situation, there would be no obstacles for the player to move to another club. Dede himself revealed that he was also interested in clubs from Moscow and Istanbul.

The player also does not rule out the possibility of obtaining German citizenship, as he has been living and playing in the country for seven years, which is enough to obtain a German passport.
