Dortmund's "Borussia" club sports director Michael Zorc confirmed that Robert Lewandowski, who refused to extend his contract, will leave in the next eighteen months, according to soccernet.com.
The Polish national team member has been linked to Munich's "Bayern" team for some time. So far, the club has denied the rumors, but after the 24-year-old striker refused to extend his career with the "Borussia" team, talk of his departure has begun.
R. Lewandowski's contract will expire in 2014.
"He will either leave in June or stay for another year," said M. Zorc, who was informed by the player's agent that the contract will not be extended.
It was previously rumored that R. Lewandowski had reached an agreement with the "Bayern" club, but "Borussia" team coach Jurgen Klopp does not believe that everything has been decided.
"Nothing has been decided yet. For now, I do not know the whole situation," said J. Klopp.
