The Madrid "Real" defender Xabi Alonso did not spare praise for team leader Cristiano Ronaldo and insisted that he has not seen a better football player than the Portuguese.
On Tuesday, the second leg of the "Copa del Rey" semifinals were played, where the eternal rivals "Real" and "Barcelona" met. Led by C. Ronaldo, the royal club surpassed the Catalans and reached the final of the King's Cup.
"Throughout my football career, I have seen many great football players, but none like Cristiano Ronaldo," stated the Spanish national team member.
"We feel much stronger when Ronaldo is on the field. With his help, we reached the final of the King's Cup and we hope to continue fighting for the title in the UEFA Champions League," added the defender.
The Spanish champions will have to face "Barcelona" once again on Saturday in the "La Liga" championship, but the main battle of the season will move to Manchester, where "Real" will seek victory and progress to the quarterfinals.
