Long-time strategist of London's Arsenal club, Arsene Wenger, is convinced that the opponent's North London derby, Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas, deserves a second chance to work in England.
Last year, the Portuguese was fired from another capital club, Chelsea. He took over the reins of the Blues after coming from Porto, with whom he managed to win three trophies (Portugal's Primeira championship, the national cup, and the UEFA Europa League) in his debut season.
As they prepare for the upcoming North London derby, A. Wenger praised his opponent: "I think he's doing very well. Tottenham has a good team. They have refreshed their squad and are playing really well."
"Villas-Boas deserves a second chance. I think it would have been harder for him to get a job at Tottenham if he hadn't coached Chelsea, because people could watch him and hear feedback from players he coached," the Frenchman said.
The match between the Tottenham and Arsenal teams at the Whiter Hart Lane Stadium will take place at 6:00 pm Lithuanian time.
